Darla (Snodgrass) Schreier - age 62 of Orrick, MO passed away Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She was born on November 24th, 1955 the daughter of Daryl and Mary Lou (Logan) Snodgrass in Lexington, MO. Darla grew up in Polo and was a 1973 graduate of Polo High School. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northwest Missouri State University. On February 16th, 1993 she was united in marriage to Tommy Schreier in Miami, OK and they made their home in Orrick, MO. Darla worked as the assistant personnel director for the Jackson County Circuit Court for over 25 years. She was a good wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, and a good friend to many. Darla was giving, caring and selfless. She always put others ahead of herself. Darla was strong willed. She was family and people oriented. Her family described her as the greatest person in the world. Darla would often say, “just remember, the glass is never half empty, it’s half full”. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her family and many friends.

Mrs. Schreier was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Duane Snodgrass. Those left to mourn her passing include: husband, Tommy of the home; son, Christopher Schreier and wife, Erin of Excelsior Springs; daughter, Bailey Schreier of Wichita, KS. Grandchildren: Logan, Willa and Norah. Uncle, Bill Blyth of Orrick, MO; uncle, Keith Logan of Polo, MO; aunt, Joyce Wagner and husband, Jeff of Polo, MO; her second mother, Ella Mae Hufft. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family also survive.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Midwest Transplant Network or the American Heart Association in loving memory of Darla Schreier and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home (301 E. Elm St Polo, MO 64671). Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 2nd, 2018 at the Knoxville Community Church south of Polo on 13 HWY. The family will begin receiving friends at noon on Monday, also at the church. Burial will follow the services at Prairie Ridge Cemetery west of Polo, MO.
