Daniel Wayne Mardis

Daniel Wayne Mardis, age 65, of Lathrop, MO, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, at his home in Lathrop. He was born on October 19, 1958, in Anthony, KS, the son of Ronald and Leila (Fabian) Mardis. Dan graduated from high school in Hays, Kansas, and went on to pursue a career in various contracting jobs.

Dan found joy in simple pleasures such as fishing, camping, and boating. He was a devout man of faith and actively participated in his church community, cherishing the friendships and spiritual growth it provided. Known for his generosity, Dan was always willing to lend a helping hand and was described by many as someone who would give you the shirt off his back.

Before making Lathrop his home, Dan lived in Girard, KS, where he enjoyed life and his church community. His presence and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Leila Mardis, and his sister, Candice Mardis. He is survived by his loving children, Tammy Mardis (Jorge) of Newton, KS, Richard Mardis of Lathrop, MO, Ronnie Mardis of KS, and Justin Mardis of El Paso, TX. He also leaves behind other extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Girard Ministerial Alliance, in care of the funeral home. At this time, no services are planned.
