Charlotte Critten

Charlotte Critten - age 86 of Gallatin, Missouri, passed away Tuesday morning, April 21, 2026 at Saint Luke's North Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Charlotte was born on April 3, 1940, the daughter of Elwood and Lola Belle (Clark) Lent in Jamesport, MO. She was a 1958 graduate of Gallatin High School. On March 12, 1960 Charlotte was united in marriage to Don Critten, and to this union three children were born. In addition to raising her children, she was a receptionist and an owner of Landmark Manufacturing. Charlotte was an active member of Olive Baptist Church and the Y.E.S. Extension Club. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and visiting the beach in Florida. Charlotte loved animals, but most of all she loved her kids and grandkids. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.  

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ray Lent, and granddaughter, Frankie Bass-Diehl. She is survived by her children: David Critten (Terri) of Trenton, MO; Julie Critten of Gallatin, MO and James Critten (Julie) of Gallatin, MO; grandchildren: Danielle Blackburn (Nick) of Fort Collins, CO, Alex Critten of Ault, CO, Alison McIntyre (Justin) of Kearney, MO, and Madi Critten of Overland Park, KS; great-grandchildren: Sully Blackburn, and Cooper and Caden McIntyre; siblings, Peggy Dawkins (Melvin) of Mooresville, MO, and Jim Lent of Chillicothe, MO; nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Olive Baptist Church in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Charlotte's life will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 24, 2026, at Olive Baptist Church, Gallatin, MO.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, the evening prior, at Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gallatin.
