Charles Junior Findley, age 86 of Pleasant Valley, MO passed away Sunday evening, September 27th, 2020 at NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.  Junior was born on April 2nd, 1934 the son of Charles Everett and Effie Christine (Gregory) Findley in Polo, MO.  He grew up in the Polo area and attended Polo schools.  On June 22nd, 1951 Junior was united in marriage to Helen Elam at the Cowgill Baptist Church.  They lived in the Cowgill, Braymer and Vibbard, MO areas.  For the last 20 years they made their home in Pleasant Valley, MO.  Junior worked for General Motors on the assembly line for 35 years.  He was a member of the UAW Local # 31.  He was an ornery and caring family man.  Junior enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.  He liked to fish, hunt, mushroom hunt and train birddogs.  Junior will be dearly missed by his family.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen; sister, Naomi Smith; sister, MaryAnne Greene; brother, Donald “Butch” Findley; sister, Norma Crist; son-in-law Charles D. Houston; grandson, Charles Nathan Findley. Survivors: daughter, Kathy (Steve) Ballard of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Karen Houston of Rayville, MO; daughter, Sheryl Findley of Pleasant Valley, MO; son, Michael Findley of Missouri; 5 siblings: Billy Findley, Jim Findley, Donna Marguerite Fields, Shirley Goetz and Carol Jenkins; grandchildren: Melanie Houston, Michelle Zuercher, Merrideth (Zuercher) Malone, Miranda Zuercher, Keith Houston, Jason Zuercher, Amy (Findley) Winters , Toni (Findley) Greim, Vincent Serafini, Sarah Findley and Austin Findley; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Disabled American Veterans in care of the funeral home.  Private memorial graveside services for family and close friends will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, October 3rd, 2020, Cowgill Cemetery, southeast of Cowgill.
