Charles F. "Snarf" Trotter Obituary

 

Charles F. "Snarf" Trotter - age 62 of Gallatin, MO passed away Wednesday morning, January 13th, 2021 at Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron, MO. Charles was born on April 20th, 1958, the son of Charles James and Murvle Loetta (Parish) Trotter in Houston, TX.  He grew up in the Kansas City area.  Charles served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, while stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  His family describes him as a “master of everything”. Charles worked construction, he worked as a pig farmer, florist, handyman, and tree trimmer.  Charles was a member of the Ironworker’s Local #10.  He was a member of Open Bible Church in Hamilton, MO.  Charles enjoyed being a dad and grandpa.  He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, sitting on the porch drinking coffee and fishing.  Charles was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. He was a “professional antagonizer” and comedian.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; sister, Mary Bailey; brother, Tom Trotter; sister, Paula Monien; nephew, Joshua McGee. Survivors include: daughter, Sara (Jason) Thomson of Gallatin; daughter, Jessica Kelley of Gallatin; grandchildren: Micheal, Christopher, Lexi and Jacob; brother, Bob Hewitt of Texas; sister, LaDonna Trotter of Gallatin; nephew, Brian (April) McGee of Idaho; niece, Angie Lesher of Gallatin; niece, Tammy (Brian) Smith of Kansas City, KS; great nephews, Jacob and Stephen. Several other nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family also survive.
