Charles "Bill" Langford

Charles "Bill" Langford - age 78 of Lathrop, MO passed away Tuesday morning, April 1, 2025, at home in Lathrop. Bill was born on October 26, 1946, the son of William Charles and Viola Agnes (Eaton) Langford in Kansas City, MO. He was a graduate of Van Horn High School. Bill married Linda Long on July 4th, 1974, in Independence, Missouri. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War where he served in the Brown Water Navy, River Patrol. Bill worked at Ford in the paint department for 36 years. He was a member of Blue Springs Masonic Lodge #334. Bill loved to watch and participate in sprint car racing and also enjoyed bird hunting with his sons. He supported his sons in their many activities and coached them in several of their sports. Bill will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Billie Marie Langford. He is survived by his wife Linda Langford of the home; sons, David Langford of Lathrop, MO, Keith Langford (Tara) of Blue Springs, MO, and Doug Langford of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Shelbie Lynn Langford (Austin Abell) of Kansas City, MO, Paige Marie Langford (Jacob Berry) of Blue Springs, MO, Daryn Langford (Morgan Miller) of Lathrop, MO, and Taylor Langford of Blue Springs, MO; and sister, Carol Carson (David) of Independence, MO. Several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Bill's life will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Lathrop.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Saturday, April 5th, 2025, also at the funeral home.  Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 9th, at 12:30 PM, at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS.
