Carolyn (Wright) Heldenbrand

Carolyn (Wright) Heldenbrand - age 78 of Winston, Missouri passed away Friday afternoon, April 8th, 2022, at her home.  Carolyn was born on July 31, 1943, the daughter of Merlin and Evelyn (Garrison) Wright in Winston, MO. She was a lifelong Winston resident and a 1961 graduate of Winston High School. She was united in marriage to Gerald Heldenbrand on August 6th, 1961, at the Winston Methodist Church. They made their home in Winston, where they farmed and raised 3 daughters. Carolyn loved the Lord and her family. She loved to travel and was passionate about mission trips to Mexico and Guatemala and learning Spanish. Carolyn opened her home to nephews, foster daughters and friends. She had a great sense of humor, loved to have fun and tease. Her full-time job was spoiling great-grandchildren; she could never tell them no. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

 Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald and grandson, Jordan Laughlin. She is survived by daughters, Carrie Cook (Milton III) of Winston, MO, Terri Williams (Roger) of Cameron, MO, and Mari Beth Nelson (Robert) of Winston, MO; grandchildren, Jacob VerHagen, Eric VerHagen (Shanna Benedict), Veranda Hillyard (Michael), Thea Nelson (Aaron Piburn), Ross Nelson, Sydney Cook, and Noel, Nate, and Nash Nelson; 5 great-grandchildren; other extended family members also survive.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Passion Church (to be sent to Missionaries) in care of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Lake Viking Church in Gallatin. The family will receive friends from 5 PM - 7 PM, the evening prior, also at the church. Friends may call from 9 AM to 3PM, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Winston Cemetery.
