Carol Cox - age 73 of Gallatin, Missouri passed away Thursday afternoon, November 7, 2024, at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Carol was born on January 5, 1951, the daughter of Harry and Doris (Cooper) Tripp in Okaloosa County, FL. Growing up in a military family she lived in several different places, including Germany. She graduated from high school in Pensacola, FL. She served in the United States Army in the Women's Army Corps. Carol also worked as a nurse at Cameron Hospital and the Village. Carol attended the Baptist Church growing up. She married Dale Wayne Cox on August 17th, 1995, in Fayetteville, NC. Carol will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Phillip and Elaine. She is survived by her husband, Dale Cox of the home; children, Joseph Martin, Christina Martin; stepdaughter, Christina Ostorga (Paul) of St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Janet Holly of Mobile, AL and Harry Tripp of Pensacola, FL; other extended family members also survive.
A graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held at 11 AM Friday, November 22, 2024, at Whitt Cemetery, south of Gallatin. Arrangements entrusted to the care and direction of Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin (660) 663-2117. Online guestbook at www.stithfamilyfunerals.com
