Carlos E. Finney

Carlos E. Finney - age 84 of Lathrop, MO passed away Monday morning, March 23, 2026.  Carlos was born on July 1, 1941, the son of Glenn  and Versie (Baskett) Finney in Brookfield, MO. He grew up in the Shelby area and was a 1959 graduate of Browning High School. After high school he married Anella (Murrain) Finney, who preceded him in death and to this union three daughters were born. Carlos married Norma Jean (McClaskey) Finney on July 7th, 1990, in Lathrop, Missouri. He worked in Equipment Maintenance at Hallmark Cards for 37 years.   In his free time Carlos enjoyed restoring antique tractors, but took a particular interest in the Ford 8N. He was a man of few words, but what he said was always important. Carlos loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

Carlos was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Anella Murrain Finney; and siblings, Jerry Lon Finney, Sharon Rose Munsterman, and Ron Finney. He is survived by his wife Norma Jean Finney of the home; daughters, Kendra Feemester (Scott), Karlan Crawford (Shawn) and Kim Chatman (Doug); grandchildren, Grant, Josh, Emily, Brett, Derek, Anna, Alec, Paige and Kaden; and fourteen great-grandchildren, and other extended family members and friends.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Converse Cemetery in care of the funeral home. A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Chandler Baptist Church in Liberty, MO with a service celebrating Carlos at 2:00 PM. The family will hold an ice cream social following the service at the church and all are invited. A private family burial will follow the services at Converse Cemetery.
