Bruce Donovan Lane was born August 8, 2004, in Trenton, Missouri, to his father and mother Barry and Sherri Lane. Bruce lived his life in Jamesport on the family farm until he was 17, when he went to South Dakota. He spent ten months there, living near his sister Sylvia and brother-in-law Mike Dirks, then returned to Jamesport and the family home.
Bruce loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, bowling, painting, drawing, welding, and woodworking.
Bruce was a passionate friend and openly expressed his love for family and friends through ornery gestures and long bear hugs. He lived fully and in the moment, and he dreamed of a simple life surrounded by those he loved the most.
Bruce tragically passed on April 2, 2023, after sustaining serious injury in an accidental fall.
He is preceded by his dear father Barry Lane and his grandparents.
He was a beloved uncle to fifteen nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his cherished mother, Sherri Lane and siblings: Ben (Joanna) Lane, Bart (Bonnie) Lane, Sylvia (Mike) Dirks, Serena (Jimmy) Seib, Shela Lane, Brandon Lane, and Brad Lane.
