Brian Baker, 66, passed away on February 26, 2025 in Kansas City, MO.
Brian was a dedicated educator and coach who made a lasting impact on those he taught and mentored. He graduated from North Union High School, Richwood OH, as part of the class of 1976. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH. His passion for teaching and coaching shaped the lives of many throughout his career. He was also a Research Chemist for CC Composites in Sandusky, OH, later, transferring to Kansas City, MO.
Beyond his professional life, Brian had a deep love for sports and the outdoors. He enjoyed track, basketball and football - both as a participant and coach. His enthusiasm for athletics extended beyond the field as he also found joy in hunting and fishing. He was also a skilled Bow Builder. These pastimes brought him great fulfillment and allowed him to connect with nature and those who shared his interests.
Brian is survived by his son and daughter in law, Nick (Alissa) Baker; his sister, Lori Qua; as well as niece, Kaylee (Milan) Mihajlovski and great niece, Melina Mihajlovski. He was predeceased by his parents, Harlow Baker and Marilyn Gould.
In keeping with Brian's wishes, he will be cremated with no services.
