Brenda L. (McLallen) Knox

Brenda L. (McLallen) Knox - age 65 of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday evening, July 27, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO. Brenda was born on October 12, 1958, the daughter of Edward Lee and Irene (Sigman) McLallen in Bakersville, CA. She grew up in Caldwell County and graduated from Smithville High School. Brenda was of the Baptist faith. She worked for the Clay County Sheriff's Office before retiring. She had a gift for always putting everyone before herself. Brenda's love language was giving. She was sweet, caring, loving and sarcastic at times. Brenda enjoyed coloring in her final months of life. She loved cooking and music, especially Pearl Jam, Tom Petty and Prince . Her favorite times were with her family.  Brenda loved her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. She never knew a stranger, striking up a conversation with anyone. Brenda will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Edward McLallen and Irene Conner and stepfather, Jimmie Conner and grandmother, Geraldine Sigman. She is survived by her daughters, Stacie Myers, Shawnette Greer, and Shelby (Jeremy) Herring; grandchildren, Tyler (Kaitlyn) Myers, Morgan Myers, Blayne Hacker, Jacop Greer, Cheyanne Herring, Jayden Ashford, Lilly Morey, and Jeremiah Morey; great-grandchild, Isaac Hacker; brother, Jimmie McLallen; and her aunts, Margaret Lynch, Norma Melte, and Nancy Mallory; other extended family members also survive. 
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested for Brenda's marker at the cemetery in care of Stacie Myers. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Prairie Ridge Cemetery, in Polo.
