Bobby "Bob" H. Paxton Obituary

Bobby H. Paxton (Bob) age 76 left this Earth at his home surrounded by his family and friends on June 1, 2021. Bob entered this world August 10, 1944 in Prague, Oklahoma to Charles Thornton Paxton (Thorn) and Ruth Lavern (Cline) Paxton (Lavern). Bob graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1963. He met his number one girl and love of his life Vicki Lynn (Shenkel) Paxton in Blue Springs. They were united in marriage the 22nd of December 1964. Bob and Vicki shared 56 years of marriage and raised 4 children: Beth Ann, Brian, Billie, and Bobbi. He went on to become an electrician and worked as a maintenance supervisor at the Ford Motor Company in Claycomo from 1968 to 2004 (36 years). His career brought the opportunity to travel to Ford Plants across the country to troubleshoot the production of new car launches. In 1972, he and Vicki realized their dream and moved their family to the country. With Lathrop School District, Turney phone number, and a Cameron address, they bought a farm and built a home and a life together. If you knew Bob you knew he loved advanced math, Trigonometry particularly. If given a chance he would teach you to understand it even if you didn't love it. During his life, Bob had many hobbies that included hunting, fishing, wood working, and gardening. These hobbies afforded him the opportunity to make many friends and to share his love of these activities. Bob will be missed dearly by those who shared his life and passions. He was preceded in death by; his parents, Thorn and Lavern Paxton; and his youngest brother, Gary Paxton. Survivors include his wife Vicki Paxton of the home, Beth Ann (Ted) Goudge, Maryville, MO; Brian (Tammy) Paxton, Turney, MO; Billie Hord, Turney, MO; and Bobbi (Max) McCrae, Mt. Gilead, NC. Grandpa Bob was grandfather to 12 and a great grandfather to 8. Bob also leaves one brother, Bill (Pam) Paxton, an Uncle Jackie Cline of Seminole OK, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, several children he claimed as his own, and many friends.
