Billy "Bill" Orr

Billy "Bill" Orr - age 82 of Liberty, MO and formerly a resident of Cowgill, MO, passed away Friday morning, September 5, 2025, at Avalon View Health and Wellness in Liberty. Bill was born on June 10, 1943, the son of John Kene and Ruby (Silvius) Orr in Caldwell County, MO. He attended Polo High School. Bill lived most of his life in Caldwell County. He married Donna Cook on December 8, 1967. Bill was a hard worker, a loyal person and he loved helping people. He was also known to be a practical joker. Bill was a lifelong learner, always striving to research and learn something new every day. He was a member of the Handy Man Club. He enjoyed reading Mother Earth News and Capper's Weekly. Bill will be dearly missed.  

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Cook; daughter, Kimberly Farrar; granddaughter, Krystyna Farrar; sisters, Patsy Potts and Jean Harlow. He is survived by two sons, Billy Orr (Shannon) of Lathrop, MO and Shawn Orr (Trina) of Camdenton, MO; grandchildren, Timothy, Joseph, Samantha, Tiffany, Gaige, Paige, Taylor, Maige, Noah, Zaige, Lavaige, and Siraige; several great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Findley of Kingston, MO; nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Bill's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Stith Funeral home in Polo.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, the evening prior at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the services at Cowgill Cemetery, southeast of Cowgill.
