Betty Jo Eads

Betty Jo Eads - age 93 of Nixa, MO, and formerly of Jamesport, MO, passed away Sunday morning, March 15, 2026, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield. Betty was born on February 9, 1933, the daughter of Afton Elihu and Josephine Alice (Street) Barlow in Gallatin, MO.  She was a 1951 graduate of Gallatin High School. She married Glen "Doc" Eads on October 14th, 1967, at the First Baptist Church in Trenton. Betty was a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church, where she loved singing specials, helping with VBS and working with the children.  When her daughter Kelly was in school she helped extensively with PTA. Betty loved her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She loved John 3:16 and could quote it even after dementia had taken over.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Doc and brother, Jewell Barlow.. She is survived by one daughter, Kelly Nickles (Larry) of Highlandville, MO; grandchildren: Dale (Christine) Nickles of Spring, TX, Samantha (Kallan) Keim of Ozark, MO, Rachel (Ty) Frakes of Branson West, MO; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Elijah, Eloise, Raylee, Jameson. Nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members also survive.
