Betty D. Botts

Betty D. Botts - age 92 of Holt, MO passed away Wednesday evening, December 18, 2024, at Oak Pointe of Kearney in Kearney, MO. Betty was born on April 5, 1932 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to Samuel Clay and Nancy (Glover) Donohew. She was raised near Howard's Mill, Kentucky. On April 2, 1949 Betty married William K. Botts and they moved to the Holt area in 1950. Betty was a housewife, Holt Elementary School Cafeteria Cook, Lay Leader at the Holt United Methodist Church, and a coordinator for Holt's Cannonball Festival, where she was known as "Bouncing Betty Botts". She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents; sister, Mary Francis Cartmill; and brother, Bill Donohew. She is survived by her sons, John W. Botts of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Bryon K. Botts of Holt, Missouri.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Holt United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Betty's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 23, 2024, at the Holt United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
