Barbara Ann Stratton

Barbara Ann Stratton, age 73 of Excelsior Springs, MO and formerly of Trenton, MO and Gallatin, MO passed away Wednesday morning, June 17th, 2020 at Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO. Barbara was born on October 21st, 1946 the daughter of Robert Henry and Mattie Grace (Smith) Coulston in Ray County, MO. She was a homemaker.  In 1984 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Stratton in Richmond, MO.  Barbara loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and mushroom hunting.  Barbara loved coffee.  As her family says, she smoked like a junky Ford.  She attended church at Lake Viking Church near Gallatin. Barbara will be dearly missed.

Barbara was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Kenny; son, Brian Barrett; daughter, Kimberly Barrett-Beck; brother, Chuck Coulston; brother, Ronnie Coulston; sister, Francis Nieman; brother, Bob Coulston. Survivors: son, Randy (Stephanie) Barrett of Independence; son, Tim (Rachel) Barrett of Kansas City; brother, Jimmy Coulston and sister, Debbie Coulston. 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Other extended family also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Black Oak Cemetery in care of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, June 22nd, 2020 at Stith Family Funeral Home in Polo. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service (10 AM) at the funeral home.  Burial to follow the services at Black Oak Cemetery, south of Braymer, MO.
