Barbara Ann Kipp

Barbara Ann Kipp - age 77 of Kingston, MO passed away Sunday afternoon, August 4th, 2019 at her home with loving family at her side. Barbara was born on May 12th, 1942 the daughter of George Chester “Jake” and Wilma Loletta (Frost) O’Dell in rural Kingston, MO.  She attended Kingston School.  On July 11th, 1958 she was united in marriage to Joe Kipp at the Hamilton United Methodist Church in Hamilton, MO.  Barbara was a homemaker and worked for 20 plus years for Stride Rite Shoe Factory in Hamilton.  Barbara was ornery, stubborn and she was never afraid to tell you how it was.  She always enjoyed feeding people, especially fried chicken and mashed potatoes.  Barbara also liked to read, “people watch”, shop, watch Wheel of Fortune and do word searches.  She also enjoyed going to Branson.  Barbara loved her family and she will be greatly missed. 

Mrs. Kipp was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; parents; sister, Dorothy Buck; sister, Wilma Coletta (Billie Jim) Francis.  Survivors include: daughter, Gwendolyn (Kevin) Morgan of Polo; daughter, Paula Kipp of Kingston; son, Kelly (Tammy) Kipp of Hamilton; brother, David L. “Hank” (Vickie) O’Dell of Winston; grandson, Christopher Kipp of Kingston; grandson, Justin (Shannon) Morgan of Bangor, Maine; grandson, Jon (Cassie) Morgan of Polo; granddaughter, Niccole (Jake) Berry of Hamilton; granddaughter, Jennifer (Jason) Segar of Hamilton; granddaughter, Sammy Jo (Jesse) Puckett of Hamilton; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other extended family. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Kingston Cemetery.  Funeral services are scheduled for 5 PM Friday, August 9th, 2019 at Stith Family Funeral Home in Polo. Visitation: 4 PM (one-hour) prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Kingston Cemetery, Kingston.  Arrangements entrusted to Stith Family Funeral Home in Polo.
