Annie L. Carletti - age 67 of Rayville, MO passed away Friday afternoon, January 10, 2025, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri. Annie was born on August 30, 1957, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Soetart) Agnew in Kansas City, KS. She grew up in the Kansas City, KS area and was a 1975 graduate of Lawson High School. She married Patrick John Carletti on August 9th, 1986, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs, MO. Annie obtained a nursing degree from St. John's in Springfield, MO. Annie began working for St. Joseph's Hospital and then Excelsior Springs Hospital. She was instrumental in starting the obstetrics unit at Liberty Hospital. Later she worked in the NICU and as the mother baby nurse. Before retiring she was a lactation consultant. Annie was a dedicated registered nurse for 45 years. She also worked side by side with her husband Patrick on their Grade A Dairy alongside her brother-in-law and sister-in-law and at their business, Keen Eyes Taxidermy. Annie was a faithful member of the Lawson Assembly of God. She had a strong faith and loved Jesus. Annie will be remembered for her sense of humor, care for others and love for everyone, particularly her family. Annie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, John Michael Carletti and infant daughter. She is survived by her husband, Patrick of the home; children, Trish Gorham (Wes) of Rayville, MO and Ben Carletti of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Regan Gorham and Cora Gorham; and siblings: Neal Agnew of Overland Park, KS, Elizabeth Zawada (Larry) of Overland Park, KS, Leo Agnew of Columbia, MO, Paul Agnew (Marissa) of CA, John Agnew (Dorothy) of AL, and Mark Agnew (Pam) of Louisburg, KS; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Annie's remarkable life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Lawson Assembly of God. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Windy Hill Cemetery in Wood Heights, MO.
