Sandra L. Lane Obituary

 

Sandra L. Lane -age 65 of Huffman, Texas passed away Thursday morning, November 28th, 2019 at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble, TX.  Sandra was born on May 23rd, 1954 the daughter of Johnnie Dale and Wanda Lee (Holley) Brown in Coffey, MO.  She grew up in rural Coffey and was a 1972 graduate of Coffey High School.  Sandra was baptized as a teenager at the Coffey Baptist Church.  Prior to moving to Houston, TX she worked as a caseworker for Clay County Family Services while living in Parkville, MO. She also worked for Marines Finance Center-ARTCC in Olathe, KS. In 1985 she moved to the Houston, TX area and began working as a software engineer for Diversified Science Corporation after receiving FAA training at Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, OK.  On December 16th, 1989 she was united in marriage to Robert “Rocky” Lane, Sr. at First Baptist Church in Huffman, TX. She co-owned SanRoc Signs & Graphics with her husband from 1994 until they sold it in 2009 to retire and travel.   She was generous, selfless and compassionate. Sandra touched a lot of hearts on this earth.  She was always willing to help anyone who needed it.  Sandra and Rocky enjoyed traveling around the United States in their motorhome six months out of the year.  Family was most important to her and she enjoyed crafting and scrapbooking for the grandchildren.  Sandra will be dearly missed. 

Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents and nephews, Jason and Jessie Brown. Survivors: husband: Robert “Rocky” of the home; daughter, Michelle (Karl) Eddleman of Magnolia, TX; son, Robert Jr. (Caroline) Lane of Guam; son, Timothy (Jacqueline) Lane of St. Lucie, FL; sister, Diana (Jerry) Rouner of Jameson; sister, Debra (Donnie) Harper of Altamont; brother, Robert (Anita) Brown of Coffey; brother, Larry Brown of Cameron; brother, Gregg (Brenda) Brown of Cameron; brother, Brent (Marquitta) Brown of Coffey; grandchildren: Sabre, Trevor, Kyndall, Kara, Alexis and Ethan; several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and a host of friends.   

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Coffey Cemetery, Coffey, MO. Funeral Services: 2 PM, Sunday, December 8th, 2019 at Coffey Baptist Church, Coffey. Burial to follow the services at Coffey Cemetery.   Visitation: 6 to 8 PM the evening prior (Saturday, 12/7) at Stith Funeral Home, Gallatin.  Friends may call after 11 AM, Friday at the funeral home.
