Patricia "Irene" Dowell

Patricia "Irene" Dowell - age 75 of rural Trenton, MO lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO.  Irene was born on May 27th, 1943 the daughter of Elvin and Jane (Langford) Turner in Cainsville, MO.  She was a graduate of Spickard High School.  Irene was a waitress at Shirley’s Café and Crown Restaurant. She was first married to Larry Tuttle and they later divorced. On December 31st, 1996 Irene was united in marriage to Donald Dowell at Shelbourn Church.  She loved to go deer hunting, fishing and camping.  Irene enjoyed all animals, but loved her hummingbirds. She loved to plant flowers and gardening. Irene will be dearly missed by her family. 

Mrs. Dowell was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Melody Allen.  Survivors include: husband, Don Dowell of the home; daughter, Loree (Dennis) Gatewood of Jamesport; brother, Jack (Donna) Turner of Springfield; granddaughter, Melinda (Jeremy, Kiley Clayton) Benedict of Springfield; granddaughter, Brandi Tuttle of Milan; grandson, Anthony (Kaely) Scott of St. Joseph; great-grandchildren: Khloe, Bentley, Carter and Niko; nephew, Jackie (Brenda) Tuner and family of Jamesport; stepdaughter, Kelly Udavich of Trenton; stepdaughter, Sonja (Eric) Youck; stepdaughter, Patricia (Dan) Linhart; son-in-law, Randy Allen; other family members also survive. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.  Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Stith Funeral Home in Jamesport. Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.  Online guestbook at www.stithfamilyfunerals.com
