Mary Maxine Gorham - age 92 of Rayville, MO passed away Tuesday evening, April 16th, 2019 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehab in Richmond. Maxine was born on March 8th, 1927 in Ray County, MO the daughter of William and Zelphia (Hendrix) Bisbee. She was a graduate of Stet High School and was a homemaker. On September 7th, 1946 she was united in marriage to Wetzel Keith Gorham in Olathe, KS. Maxine was a member of the Knoxville Community Church and the China Painters. She enjoyed cooking and especially cooking meals for her family. Maxine was the last of her siblings. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Gorham was preceded in death by: her husband, Wetzel; parents; sister, Fern McCall; brother, Arzy Bisbee; sister, Helen Lile; sis, Pearl Starcher; sister, Mabel Clark; niece, Alice Fern Zachary. Survivors include: son Ronald Keith (Rita) Gorham of Polo; son, Samuel K. (Connie) Gorham of Rayville; son, Billy Joe (Adriana) Gorham of Polo; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family also survive.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Polo United Methodist Church in loving memory of Maxine Gorham. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 20th, 2019 at the Polo United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the church.
