Larry Ratzloff

Larry Ratzloff – age 73 of Lathrop, MO passed away Thursday, December 27th, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born on March 8th, 1945 the son of Fred and Elvina (Boehs) Ratzloff in Leigh High, Kansas.  He was a graduate of Afton High School in Afton, Oklahoma.  On August 24th, 1963 he was united in marriage to Sue Countryman at the Assembly of God Church in Afton, OK.  Larry was a welder and maintenance supervisor for TWA and American Airlines.   He later worked for Platte-Clay Propane. Larry and his wife, Sue also owned a welding shop together. He enjoyed working and tinkering in his shop.  Larry was a member of the First Christian Church in Lathrop and was baptized there in 2009.  He will be deeply missed by his family.

Mr. Ratzloff was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ray Dean Ratzloff and a sister, Francis Schmeling.  Those left to mourn his passing include: his wife, Sue of the home; brother, Archie (Marsha) Ratzloff; sister, Norma (Bruce) Roberts; sister, Ruth Ann (Fred) Coble; son, Tony (Roxanne) Ratzloff; daughter, Tammy (Todd) Christian; Grandchildren: Jessica (Nathaniel), Dusty (Vanessa), Clinton, Dillon (Kayla) and Savanna (Casey); step-grandchildren: Zachary, Ethan and Lauren; great-grandchildren: Isabel, Drake, AnnMarie, Hudson, Harper, and step- grandchildren: Emmett, Zadie, Chloe, Shalin, and Keaton. 

Memorial contributions are suggested to the donor’s choice.  A visitation will be held 10 AM Wednesday morning, January 2nd at the First Christian Church in Lathrop followed by a service celebrating Larry’s life at 11 AM, also at the church.  Inurnment at a later date at Ballard Cemetery in Bernice, OK.
