John David Bogle

John David Bogle - age 40 of Cameron, MO and formerly of Jamesport, MO passed away Friday, August 30th, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.  John was born on May 21st, 1979 the son of Davey and Charlotte (Campbell) Bogle in Trenton, MO.  He was a 1998 graduate of Tri-County High School in Jamesport.  John was baptized at the Jamesport Church of Christ, where he was a member.  He served in the United States Navy from 2000 until his honorable discharge in 2004. John was stationed in San Diego on the Aircraft Carrier USS Nimitz.  He was a disabled veteran.  John also did odd jobs and construction. On July 28th, 2013 he was united in marriage to Stephanie Gibson in Gilman City, MO.  In his younger years he was active in sports and Boy Scouts.  John was a Royals and Chiefs fan and enjoyed all football and baseball.  He loved pets and was good with kids. John was kind, friendly and mild mannered.  He loved to fish and cook. John enjoyed movies, music and spending time with family and friends.  He was also a history buff. 

Mr. Bogle was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in-law, Dannie Lamp.  Survivors include wife, Stephanie of the home; sister, Valinda Lamp of St. Joseph; sister, Cindy (Jason) Hetrick of Cameron; brother, Neil (Michele) Bogle of Overland Park, KS; sister, Amy (John) Meadows of Kingsland, GA; sister, Nichole (Steve) Stout of Jamesport; father and mother in-law, Gene and Sharon Gibson of Gilman City; sister in-law, Tracy (Shane) Smith of Martinsville; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.    

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kansas City VA Medical Center in care of the funeral home. Memorial services with full military honors will be held 2 PM Friday, September 6th, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home in Jamesport. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call after 9 AM Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment at a later date at Springer Cemetery near Brimson, MO Arrangements are under the direction of Stith Funeral Home in Jamesport.
