Dorothy Jean Buck, 79 of Kansas City, MO entered eternal life May 24th, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy entered this life March 15th, 1937 the daughter of George "Jake" and Wilma Frost O'Dell in Liberty, MO. On December 10th, 1954 she was united in marriage to Charles Buck in Chillicothe, MO. Mrs. Buck was a 1954 graduate of Polo High School. She worked for Loehr's Town and Country and Eckard's Drug in Liberty, MO for a number of years. Dorothy was a loving wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. She was tough as nails and smart. She loved to quilt, garden and read. Dorothy also had a love of collecting ceramic turtles in which she had quite a collection.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Wilma "Billie Jim" Francis. She leaves behind her loving husband Charles of the home, son Tim Buck of Kansas City, MO, daughter Cheryl "Sissie" (Wayne) Noll of Dearborn, MO, daughter Shelley Buck of Liberty, MO and a daughter Kerry (Richie) Runions of Kearney, MO, sister Barbara (Joe) Kipp of Kingston, MO, brother David (Vickie) O'Dell of Winston, MO. Additional survivors include 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial gifts be given to the Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, MO in memory of Dorothy Jean Buck in care of the funeral home, PO Box 56 Polo, MO 64671. A visitation for Dorothy will be held Thursday May 26th, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Stith Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Polo, MO.
