Clair A. Barner – age 81 of Kearney, MO passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 1st, 2019 at Liberty Health and Wellness in Liberty, MO. Clair was born on March 9th, 1938 the son of Clair Albert and Martha (Ruhl) Barner in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. He worked as a carpenter his entire career. He had spent the last 21 years in Missouri, living in Warrensburg, Lathrop and Kearney. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1494 in Sedalia, MO. Clair loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed taking things apart, fixing it and putting it back together. Clair also enjoyed his chosen profession of carpentry.
Mr. Barner was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers: Harold, Ed, Robert and David; granddaughter, Shannon Gaddis; nephew, Ken Barner. Survivors include: son, Ronald (Amy) Barner; daughter, Deborah (Rick) Gaddis; son, Jeff Barner; daughter, Sherry Fetzer; sister, Mary Watson; brother, Ward (Shirley) Barner; brother, Samuel (Connie) Barner; grandson, David (Crissy) Barner; grandson, Greg (Natalie) Barner; grandson, Ryan Barner; granddaughter, Arielle (Nathan) Wagner; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
