Charles "Charlie" Hall Obituary

Charles “Charlie” Hall – age 76 of Jamesport, MO passed away Sunday morning, April 28th, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospice House  in Kansas City, MO after a long and courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.  Charles was born on July 5th, 1942 the son of Glen and Elsie (McCrary) Hall in Bethany, MO.  He was a 1960 graduate of Jameson High School.  Charles served our country in the United States Army Reserves for 7 years.  On March 7th, 1964 he was united in marriage to Gayle Mills at the Jamesport Baptist Church. Charles worked as a data processor for Waddell & Reed, as well as Sprint.    He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 21.  Charles was a member of Pilot Grove #2 Church, Coventry Estates Baptist Church and Jamesport Baptist Church.  He was witty, always coming up with “one-liners”.  Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends and going to Florida each winter.  He could build or fix anything, he was truly a “jack of all trades”.  Charles was determined and strong, even during his illness. He always put his family first.  Charles will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Louise Conover.  Those left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life include: wife, Gayle of the home; daughter, Lisa Hall of Independence, MO; son, Johnathan Keith Hall of Independence, MO; daughter, Christina (Rich) Neeley of Troy, KS; granddaughter, Ashley (Brad) Newton of Hannibal, MO; grandson, Zack Neeley of St. Joseph, MO; great-grandson, Malachi Newton; sister, Verna Rose (Max) Swisegood of Oak Grove, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family also survive.
