Betty Clark Obituary

 

Betty M. Clark, age 88, passed away Monday evening, June 10th, 2019 at the Daviess County Nursing and Rehab.  Betty was born on December 30th, 1930 the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Gracie May (Stockwell) Polley in Ridgeway, MO.  She attended Ridgeway High School.  On June 1st, 1967, she was united in marriage to Clarence Clark in Bethany, MO.  Betty was a farmwife who enjoyed gardening and crocheting.  She was a member of the Jameson Christian church and later attended the Jamesport Baptist Church.  Betty was known as being feisty, a little bit ornery and a flirt.  She was a mother and step-mother who dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Betty will be missed by her family and friends. 

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Clark; step-son, James Clark; 1 sister and 6 brothers.  Those left to mourn her passing include: son, Ronald Waters; step-daughter, Jerry McCrary; daughter, Jenny Yates; step-daughter, Janet (Tom) Haberine; son, Jeff (Crystal) Waters; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Stith Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, June 14th, 2019 at the Jamesport Baptist Church in Jamesport, MO.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service also at the church.  Interment will follow at the Gilman City Masonic Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Stith Funeral Home in Jamesport.  Online guestbook at www.stithfamilyfunerals.com
